Ever since I was young, I loved long hair! I never really enjoyed when the day came to have my hair cut. I wasn’t very confident either when I was younger, so pulling off long hair would be harder, especially as a young boy. Long hair only seemed to be for rockstars, in the movies and so I just got short hair like everyone else.
Since I’ve gotten older I have become more confident to just do whatever I want with my hair. So I decided to grow it out longer…
I want to share all the things I’ve learned over the years about caring for my hair. And how I look after it and help it grow faster and be healthier.
Below are a few pictures of the years from when I had shorter hair to when I had long hair.
I still liked my shorter hair too. = )
If you want to learn how fast the hair grows, check out my article here.
Also, here are some tips on how to grow long hair.
Around 2008 when I was 22
Below was in 2010 when I was 25
This was me in 2012! My hair was still pretty short back then but I had started to let it grow by this time.
After I came home from LA (Feb 2012), I thought I’d let my hair grow out a bit and see what it looked like. This time though I made sure that I kept it in good condition though.
By June 2013, my hair looked like this:
Looking much healthier? And very shiny, right? It shows how you can transform your hair if you are willing to put in the time to take care of it.
By late 2014, my hair was really long! I never thought I’d reach this length, so fast! But my determination paid off.
As you can see above, the only problem and mistake that I made was I never dealt with the split ends, and so it could have been healthier, but most of the hair, apart from the bottom, was in great condition
Outdoor photos from summer 2015.
My hair below was in late 2013 when I was 28 years old.
Below is me in 2016, just before I am ready to have a few inches cut off.
My current hair length is longer than intended to grow it, so I’ll probably have a bit cut off soon. (I was a bit white here haha). Lack of sun :p
I will update with new pictures soon! 🙂
